Justin Tyler Camacho, a 21-year-old male from Corpus Christi, Texas, tragically lost his life on January 26, 2025. The incident occurred at the Windrush Apartments on the 4300 block of Kostoryz Road. Corpus Christi Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 6:38 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Camacho wounded in the parking lot.
He was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Following the fatal shooting, CCPD launched an investigation that led to multiple arrests. Initially, 18-year-old Guillermo Martinez was identified as a suspect and taken into custody near the 100 block of Buccaneer Drive. Martinez was charged with Capital Murder and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. As the investigation progressed, authorities secured additional warrants, leading to the arrests of three more individuals. Seventeen-year-old Angel Galindo was apprehended on outstanding warrants for Capital Murder and Engaging in Organized Crime. During his arrest, officers discovered a handgun in his possession, resulting in an additional charge of Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Additionally, 17-year-old Aaron Fuentes and 19-year-old Eduardo Hernandez-Carrizales were arrested on similar charges related to the fatal shooting.
Camacho’s death has deeply impacted his family and community. He was remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, and uncle.
