On September 1, 2016, George Koumbis, a 63-year-old white male and owner of Shooters Depot in Corpus Christi, Texas, was fatally shot during an armed robbery at his gun store. The incident occurred between 8 and 9 p.m. A 38-year-old male employee was also shot and seriously wounded during the attack. The suspects stole firearms and Koumbis's black Mercedes, which was later found abandoned with the stolen weapons inside.
