On July 10, 2011, Jerry C. Johnson, age 33, was found dead in Kansas City, Missouri, in what remains an unsolved homicide. Officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area of 38th and Wayne Avenue. After conducting a canvass of the vicinity, they found a white Cadillac crashed against a fence near 38th and Flora Avenue, with Johnson inside, deceased from gunshot wounds.
