Maricela Banda, a 33-year-old Hispanic woman from Houston, Texas, was found dead on March 8, 2017, in what appeared to be a murder-suicide attempt. The incident occurred outside the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston. Banda was discovered with gunshot wounds inside a car at 1800 Rusk Street, along with Marcos Hinojosa, who was also critically injured.
