On March 26, 2017, 58-year-old Lupe Romero, a male of Hispanic ethnicity, was tragically shot and killed in his home in Hamlin, Texas. Police were called to Romero's residence in the early hours of the morning and found him with a gunshot wound to the right side of his body. He was transported to Hamlin Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
