On May 13, 2017, 56-year-old Jose Augusto Lozada was fatally shot outside his home in Magnolia, Texas. The incident began as a minor traffic collision that escalated into a road rage confrontation. Lozada, a Hispanic male, was shot multiple times in the head and torso by Christopher Delacruz, a 21-year-old Magnolia resident. Delacruz followed Lozada to his residence, retrieved a semi-automatic pistol from his vehicle, and fired at Lozada during a heated argument.
