Jerry Wayne McBride Sr., a 63-year-old male from Vernon, Texas, was tragically killed on May 20, 2017. He was the owner and operator of the Cowboys Club in Vernon. On the night of his death, McBride was closing up his establishment when he was shot multiple times by an armed robber. The assailant, whose face was partially concealed by a bandana and a cap, fired eight shots at McBride before robbing him and fleeing the scene.
