On November 10, 2017, at approximately 3:07 p.m., Dallas Police Department officers responded to a call near the intersection of Town Creek Drive and Glen Oaks Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of Jarell Holbdy, a 24-year-old Black male, in a field. He had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances leading to the shooting were not immediately clear, and the incident was classified as a homicide.
