During the meeting at a vacant house on Glenmoor Drive, an argument broke out between Love and one of the sellers, Terry Albert Simmons, age 39, and Nathaniel Wooldridge, age 46. The confrontation escalated into a shootout, resulting in the deaths of Love and Simmons. Love's friends took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, while his acquaintance received non-life-threatening injuries. Simmons was found dead at the scene.
