57-year-old Lynda Barnes was tragically shot and killed on January 29, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas. She was found at a home in the 1100 block of Church Street, suffering from obvious gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to St. Elizabeth Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries. This incident marked the first homicide of 2018 in Beaumont.
