enforcement in Holland's Quarters. He was subsequently arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including murder, attempted capital murder of a peace officer, and two counts of aggravated kidnapping. Mickens pleaded guilty to these charges on June 6, 2018. The 123rd District Judge LeAnn Rafferty sentenced him to 80 years in prison for each of the charges, with the sentences to run concurrently. Additionally, Mickens received a 20-year sentence for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
