Casey Jo Pipestem, a 19-year-old Native American woman and member of the Seminole Tribe of Oklahoma, was found dead on January 31, 2004, beneath a bridge near Big Bear Creek in Grapevine, Texas. Her body was discovered by a man and his daughter walking near a Frisbee golf park. The medical examiner determined that she had been beaten, raped, and strangled, likely within 48 hours prior to being found.
