Candida Marina Jimenez, a 22-year-old woman of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost her life on March 22, 2018, in San Antonio, Texas. She was fatally shot during a robbery attempt while walking to her apartment with a friend. The suspect demanded her purse and, when she didn't comply, shot her multiple times, also injuring her friend in the foot. Despite being rushed to University Hospital, Jimenez succumbed to her injuries.
