Ishmeal Smithson, an 18-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on June 5, 2018, in Irving, Texas. Smithson, along with two other teenagers, attempted to rob 31-year-old Jarrell Ivory Chaney at his apartment. During the robbery, Chaney managed to disarm one of the teens, and as the three suspects fled the scene, Chaney fired shots at them.
