Charles D. "Chop" Roundtree Jr., an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 17, 2018, in San Antonio, Texas. The incident occurred when San Antonio Police Department Officer Steve Casanova responded to a call about an alleged assault at a residence on Roberts Street. Upon arrival, Officer Casanova knocked on the door, which was slightly ajar, and encountered DaVante Snowden, who was inside the house along with Charles Roundtree and Taylor Singleton.
