In the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 21, 2013, the life of James E. Moland, a 45-year-old black male from Merriam, Kansas, was tragically cut short. Residents in a neighborhood near Swope Park in Kansas City, Missouri, made a grim discovery when they spotted a man in the yard of a house at 61st and Jackson. An ambulance was called to the scene at approximately 6:16 a.m.
