On February 2, 2019, 28-year-old Saquan Ross was fatally shot in the 7200 block of Ferguson Road in Dallas, Texas. Ross was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds. The investigation led police to identify 41-year-old Demarcus Battson as the suspect. Battson turned himself into Dallas Police Headquarters with the help of his family and admitted to shooting Ross during questioning.
