In the early morning hours of September 22, 2013, the quiet of a St. Louis neighborhood was shattered by sudden violence that claimed the life of a young man named Randy Lee Jones III. Known to his friends and loved ones as 'Champ,' the 21-year-old male was standing outside an apartment complex located at 3916 North Florissant Avenue. It was approximately 2:30 a.m. when the incident occurred, casting a shadow over the community and leaving a family to mourn an untimely loss.
