On March 20, 2019, 19-year-old Luis Gutierrez was fatally shot in east Houston. The incident occurred around 4:40 p.m. in the 5500 block of Arapahoe, near San Juan and Sakowitz streets. Upon arrival, Houston police officers discovered the young Hispanic male lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds.
