Lieutenant Albert Charles Wilkins, aged 57, was tragically shot and killed on January 6, 1978, while working an off-duty security job at a lounge located at 5400 Griggs Road in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred around 1:45 am when two brothers attempted to rob the lounge. During the robbery, one of the brothers shot Lieutenant Wilkins in the head as he pleaded for his life.
