James Grant Booker II, a 26-year-old Black male from Houston, Texas, tragically lost his life on April 26, 2019. The incident occurred when an Uber driver picked up two passengers at an intersection. One of the passengers, who sat in the rear passenger side of the SUV, was shot multiple times by the other passenger who had come around the back. The driver, unaware of the unfolding situation, continued to drive and called the police upon discovering the deceased victim in the back seat.
