Edgar Mendoza Chico, a 44-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost his life on May 11, 2019, in Garland, Texas. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when Garland police officers responded to a call about a person with a gunshot wound in the 200 block of Rio Rita Drive. Upon arrival, they found Chico with a gunshot wound, and despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
