On May 5, 2018, Gilberto Alejandro Hernandez, a 19-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically shot and killed in the parking lot of a Cicis Pizza restaurant located at 1037 Northwest Highway in Garland, Texas. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. when Garland police officers responded to a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, they found Hernandez with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
