Shamala JaWanna Burks, a 34-year-old woman of African American ethnicity, tragically passed away on May 20, 2019, in Houston, Texas. She was born on April 10, 1985, to Wilson Jones and Carol J. Reed. Shamala's death was part of a tragic incident that also claimed the life of her partner, Donald Burk, aged 40. The couple was found dead in their apartment at the Blue Valley Apartments in northeast Houston.
