Death by Force

Malik Tyler, a 13-year-old African American boy from Dallas, Texas, tragically lost his life on June 4, 2019. Malik was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire of a gun battle outside a convenience store in the Pleasant Grove neighborhood. He and his friends had stopped at the store to buy snacks on their way home from school when the shooting erupted. Malik was hit in the back by a stray bullet while trying to flee the scene.
