On June 20, 2019, in Houston, Texas, 16-year-old Jason Nunez was tragically shot and killed at the Serena Village Apartments located in the 500 block of Greens Road. Responding officers discovered the young male victim lying on a patio within the complex. Witnesses reported seeing 17-year-old Marco Jason Ruiz fleeing the scene and entering another apartment in the same complex. Ruiz was subsequently apprehended without incident.
