Daryal Garrett, a 51-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 15, 2017, in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred during a child's birthday party at his residence on the northeast side of the city. Garrett and his 24-year-old son, Daryal Garrett Jr., were both shot near their home in the 4700 block of Majestic. The elder Garrett was pronounced dead at the scene, while his son was taken to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital in serious condition.
