Luis Gerardo Gayton, a 21-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically died on July 24, 2019, in Austin, Texas. He was found with life-threatening injuries in the 6800 block of Bitterroot Trail after police responded to a shots fired call at around 10:39 p.m. Despite being rushed to St. David's Medical Center, he succumbed to his injuries at 11:30 p.m. The Travis County Medical Examiner's Office later ruled his death a homicide.
