Patricia Ann Marshall Spivey, a 52-year-old African American woman from Houston, Texas, tragically died on July 28, 2019. She was found in her home, shot twice - once in the arm and once in the chest. Her husband, Renard Spivey, a sheriff's deputy turned actor, was arrested and charged with her murder. Renard claimed that the shooting was accidental, occurring during a struggle over a gun.
