Jacqueline-Rose's husband, Peter Noble Nicholas III, a 30-year-old man, was arrested and charged with her murder. According to the arrest warrant, hotel security officers heard yelling and scuffling inside the room before a gunshot was fired at 11:29 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, Peter Nicholas was found partially covered in blood with an extension cord wrapped around his neck. Jacqueline-Rose was discovered dead inside the room, and a 9mm handgun was found in a backpack.
The delay in police response has been a point of contention, with Jacqueline-Rose's mother, Tess Parguian, expressing her frustration and heartbreak over the situation. She believes that her daughter could have been saved if the police had arrived sooner. The family has set up a GoFundMe to raise money for funeral costs and care for Jacqueline-Rose's two young sons.
