On January 8, 2020, Callisha Parks, a 40-year-old Black female from Dallas, Texas, was fatally shot in the 1300 block of Baden Street in the Oak Cliff neighborhood. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots as Parks exited a red SUV and attempted to flee on foot. She collapsed in a nearby field and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital due to multiple gunshot wounds.
