In the small community of Pecos, New Mexico, the life of 33-year-old Hispanic female, Renee Romero, was tragically cut short on October 28, 2023. On that Saturday, the New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau was summoned to a residence at 94 North Main Street to investigate two suspicious deaths. Inside the master bedroom, they discovered the bodies of Romero and a male individual, identified as 30-year-old Thomas Bastien, also from Pecos.
