On October 28, 2023, Renee Romero, a 33-year-old resident of Pecos, New Mexico, tragically lost her life in a shooting incident. The New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau was called to investigate two suspicious deaths at 94 North Main Street in Pecos. Romero was found deceased in the master bedroom of the residence along with Thomas Bastien, 30, also from Pecos. Both had apparent gunshot wounds.
