Angelina Maria “Angie” Silva Englisbee, an 86-year-old woman of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost her life on August 3, 2019, during the mass shooting at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas. She was one of 23 victims killed in the attack, which was motivated by anti-Hispanic hate. The shooter, Patrick Crusius, was arrested and charged with capital murder and hate crimes. He allegedly posted a manifesto online before the attack, expressing his intent to target Hispanic people.
