Julio Cesar Gamez-Contreras, a 26-year-old Hispanic man, tragically lost his life on August 11, 2019, in Austin, Texas. The incident occurred in the parking lot of La Preferida Bar on North Lamar Boulevard. According to reports, a verbal altercation inside the bar escalated into a physical confrontation that spilled into the parking lot.
