Christian Alexander Lezama, a 19-year-old male rapper from Houston, Texas, was tragically killed on September 4, 2019. The incident occurred at his apartment located in the 1800 block of St. Joseph Parkway. Lezama's death was the result of a planned robbery that escalated into violence. Jourdan Ellison, who was 17 at the time, orchestrated the robbery with two accomplices, Deric Williams and Michael Sykes. The trio entered Lezama's apartment under false pretenses, with Ellison pulling a gun and demanding valuables. When Lezama refused to comply, the situation turned violent, leading to his death.

Houston Police discovered Lezama dead at the scene, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses inside the apartment at the time of the incident reported that Ellison and his accomplices held them at gunpoint and demanded jewelry. When Lezama resisted, he was beaten, pistol-whipped, and ultimately shot multiple times. The suspects then fled the scene on foot, later getting into a red, older model, four-door Pontiac sedan and driving off. Surveillance footage and witness statements helped identify Ellison as the mastermind behind the crime.

Ellison initially claimed he was at the apartment for drugs but later admitted to letting his accomplices into the building. He was charged with capital murder and felony burglary. His accomplices, Williams and Sykes, were also charged with capital murder. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Megan Long and Rebecca Marshall, who emphasized the premeditated nature of the crime and the betrayal involved. Ellison was sentenced to life in prison, with the possibility of parole after 40 years due to his age at the time of the murder. Williams and Sykes both face life sentences without the possibility of parole.

The case drew significant attention due to the violent nature of the crime and the young ages of both the victim and the perpetrators. Lezama's family and friends were left devastated by his untimely death, and the community mourned the loss of a promising young artist. The legal proceedings highlighted the challenges of dealing with violent offenders and the impact of such crimes on the victims' families and the broader community.
