On October 2, 2019, Martez Anthony Bryant, a 17-year-old male from Killeen, Texas, was tragically found lying in the street with gunshot wounds. The Killeen Police Department received a call reporting shots fired in the 3300 block of Hereford Ln. around 9:20 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Bryant and performed life-saving measures until paramedics arrived. Unfortunately, Bryant was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:07 p.m.
His remains were later transported to the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas for an autopsy.
Despite the investigation, there were no immediate suspects identified at the time. The Killeen Police Department urged anyone with information about the shooting to come forward. The case remained open, with law enforcement continuing to seek leads and gather evidence to determine who was responsible for Bryant's death.
