Jimmie Eugene Caruthers, a 48-year-old male from Austin, Texas, tragically lost his life on October 16, 1991, in Killeen, Texas. He was one of the victims of the infamous Luby's shooting massacre, one of the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history. On that fateful day, a gunman named George Hennard drove his pickup truck through the front window of Luby's Cafeteria and opened fire, killing 23 people and wounding 27 others.
