Oscar Anibal Gomez, a 58-year-old Hispanic man, tragically lost his life on October 12, 2019, in Houston, Texas. Gomez was killed while defending his wife from purse snatchers in the parking lot of their apartment complex. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. when three men approached the couple and demanded the purse of Gomez's wife. In an attempt to protect her, Gomez was attacked by one of the suspects and shot.
