Johnnie Chatmon, a 70-year-old man, was shot to death on November 27, 2019, at Gilmore Burgers, a hamburger restaurant in the 5000 block of Reed Road in south Houston. The incident occurred during an argument with the restaurant's owner, which escalated into a physical altercation. Chatmon was shot in the back during the fight and was later taken to Memorial Hermann hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
