Harold Leonard Johnson, a 76-year-old white male, passed away on June 22, 2020, following a long illness. His father, Leonard George Johnson, was a Medical Officer in the U.S. Air Force, which led the family to live in various locations, including Bremerhaven, Germany; Puerto Rico; Roswell, New Mexico; and Austin, Texas.
Harold graduated from The University of Texas with a BS Cum Laude in Art. He was a man of many talents, including copywriting, typeface designing, art directing, antique car restoring, and playing the guitar. Harold ran his own ad agency starting in 1969 and won numerous design awards in the ad industry. He was a loving husband to Judith Johnson and a devoted father to his three sons, Curtis Reid Johnson, James Lyle Johnson, and Alexander Abbott-George Johnson.
