On August 1, 2020, Chad Jobe, a 37-year-old man from Terrell, Texas, was fatally shot in the 300 block of West Newton Street. He was transported to Parkland Hospital in Dallas in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries on August 3, 2020. The suspect, identified as Michael Roy Sanders, Jr., 38, was sought by the Terrell Police Department for the murder.
