On the morning of August 16, 2023, 17-year-old Terrell High School junior, Damaria Lamon Jackson, was found unresponsive in a residential yard near the intersection of Trailview and Town North Drive, approximately one mile from his school in Terrell, Texas. Emergency responders transported him to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Kaufman, where he was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound.
