Jesther Avila Matute, a 17-year-old Hispanic male, tragically lost his life on August 26, 2020, in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred at approximately 12:15 a.m. at 9450 Woodfair Drive. Houston Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting and found Jesther Avila Matute lying in an apartment complex walkway with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Houston Fire Department paramedics.
