David Eugene Young, a 38-year-old male, tragically lost his life on September 13, 2020, in Dallas, Texas. The incident occurred early in the morning at around 5 a.m. when officers responded to a shooting call at 4330 Dickason Avenue. Upon arrival, they found Young lying motionless in the front yard, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by Dallas Fire-Rescue.
The suspect in this case, 30-year-old Kamron Michael Bell, was found a block away from the scene, injured and lying in the
middle of Wycliff Avenue and Cedar Springs Road. Bell was taken to a hospital for medical clearance and was later transported to the Dallas County Jail, where he was charged with murder.
During the trial, Bell pleaded guilty to the murder of Young. He revealed that he and Young had spent hours mixing cocaine, psychedelic mushrooms, marijuana, and alcohol before the shooting. Young’s cousin, Chad Hensley, stated that he believed Bell should spend the rest of his life in prison.
