On November 7, 2020, Mario Robinson, a 23-year-old man from Austin, Texas, was fatally shot outside a Waffle House in Northeast Austin. Robinson and his friends had been at a local bar before heading to the Waffle House to order food. While waiting in their cars, an SUV pulled up, and two men, Jalen Highsmith and Kelvin Robinson, exited the vehicle with firearms.
