On December 2, 2020, the San Antonio Police Department responded to a call on the Southwest Side, where they discovered David Martinez, a 28-year-old Hispanic male, lying in a pool of blood on a neighborhood sidewalk. The initial investigation revealed that he had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services pronounced him dead at the scene.
