On the evening of February 19, 2024, 30-year-old Robert Reyes-Rincon was fatally shot outside his residence on Lake Crystal Street in San Antonio's East Side. According to reports, Reyes-Rincon was either changing a light bulb or conversing with an individual in a vehicle when an occupant of the car opened fire, striking him multiple times in the chest. Despite managing to retreat inside his home and call for help, he succumbed to his injuries shortly before 11 p.m. at a local hospital.
