Douglas Michael Janis, a 64-year-old white male, was found dead on his houseboat in Toledo Bend Lake on the Texas-Louisiana border on December 13, 2020. Initially, his death was thought to be an accident caused by a propane leak, but an autopsy revealed two bullets in the back of his head, indicating he was murdered.
