On December 25, 2020, 23-year-old Jose Loera was fatally shot inside his vehicle at 4626 Bernal Drive in West Dallas. When officers arrived at the scene, they found him with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The Dallas Police Department is investigating his death as a homicide.
