Yashica Gainous Fontenot, a 46-year-old African American woman from Spring, Texas, tragically lost her life on December 26, 2020. She was fatally shot by her husband, Jeffrey Fontenot, in their home. The incident occurred just one day after Christmas, and Yashica's 10-year-old son was also present during the shooting. He was grazed by a bullet but survived the attack.
